My entry in the New Yorker Caption Contest #370

It took me a bit to come up with this one, but I'm pleased with it.

Update: I completely concede to the winner on this one. It was...
"Harry, Hairy. Hairy, Harry."

Having Myself a Bit of a Movie Marathon

So I checked yesterday and realized that a whole bunch of movies in my queue were expiring in a few days (March 1st) on Netflix. It's been snowing, and I can't work in the snow, so I decided to have myself a bit of a movie marathon. I've watched five in two days. They have all been pretty good, but this last one was really unbelievable. First I'll mention the four that preceded it. They were...

Bedazzled

What Happened Was...

The Man Who Fell To Earth

and Marathon Man.

But it was this last one that I just had to come put a post in my blog about. It's called Santa Sangre, and I've just got to say WOW!

You've got to be a little open-minded, but I guarantee you that you've never seen anything quite like this. It's truly bizarre, but not so much so that it's unwatchable. It's the first one I've seen by Jodorowsky, and I now know that I'm going to have to check out some more by him. You've got until Friday to see it on Netflix. I highly recommend you do.

Winter in Salt Lake City

What a winter we've had here in Salt Lake City. The snow just kept coming and coming. It feels like I've done nothing all winter but shovel snow. A week or so ago we had a phenomenon here called Freezing Rain that you just had to witness for yourself. It was as if the whole world had turned into ice.  To say that everything was slippery beyond belief is an understatement. Seemed like everyone had a story of falling down. I got a good bruise on my arm just trying to stand up out of the car.  -  Anyway, here are a few pictures I took to try and show how much snow we've had but they don't seem to do it justice.
