Life Changing Journey As I Contemplated This Week's Caption Contest

This week's New Yorker Caption Contest set off a series of events that ended up amounting to a complete breakthrough on my novel.  Maybe I'll elaborate later.  The thing was I still hadn't come up with an entry for the caption.  I just got it, and it was this.

Tough One This Week

I really had a hard time coming up with anything for this week.

I'm Particularly Pleased With This Week's Caption

First I had,

"I was skeptical too. But then I saw the tiny mortgage payments."

Then I had,

"Do you think I've taken this Back-To-Nature thing too far?"

I even considered,

"If My husband shows up with a mouth full of twigs, just act natural."

But when I got this one, I knew it was the one.
